DOGE于 6 月 3 日开始在推特陆续有 Atomic 钱包用户反映钱包内资产被无故转走，由于受影响用户数目越来越多，所以社群怀疑是 Atomic 钱包出现安全漏洞以致资产被盗，Atomic 官方团队也在推特发公告表示知悉事件，并会进行调查和分析，唯事隔将近 20 个小时还没有进一步更新说明。

而根据著名链上侦探 ZachXBT 向受灾用户的调查统计，直至 6 月 4 日中午已经有价值接近 2000 万美元加密货币被盗，有用户损失 1897 枚以太币，价值约 350 万美元，损失最高的头 5 名用合共被盗了约 970 万美元。

其实早在去年 2 月，审计机构 Least Authority 曾就 Atomic 钱包的安全疑虑发表一份报告，表示该钱包的设计和加密方式没有合乎标准，可能导致用户资产被清空，Least Authority 称曾向 Atomic 团队报告这个情况，但他们最后没正视和解决这个问题，所以发报告提醒用户要小心。
